  • Tibra Wheeler

    Tibra Wheeler

    Tibra, originally from Bluffton, SC, completed her BS in Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina in 2016 and her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University in 2021. Tibra is currently a Senior Engineer at Becton Dickinson. Tibra hopes that through her work she will take leaps and bounds towards changing the status quo and changing what the world “thinks” an engineer should “look” like. Outside of research, she enjoys playing basketball, napping, and eating Chick-fil-A.

    India Heckstall

    India is a policy wonk in Washington DC where she focuses on higher education and workforce issues. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying different restaurants and spending time with friends and family.

  • Mighty Fine

    Mighty Fine

    Mighty Fine is the Associate Executive Director at the American Public Health Association. In this role, he works to optimize the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, learn and age, through program development, evaluation, advocacy, health education and policy analysis.

    Mighty received his Bachelor of Science in public health from Rutgers University and was trained as a Social Epidemiologist at Yale University, earning his Master of Public Health. In his spare time, he enjoys international travel, reading fiction and spending time with family and friends.

  • Erica Roberts

    Erica Roberts received her Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and her Master’s of Science degree in Management, both from Duquesne University. Currently, she works for the University of Pittsburgh as the Program Manager for the Justice Scholars Institute.

    She is responsible for overseeing the program development and implementation. In her prior role, she worked for the Pittsburgh Public School District as the Community Schools Site Manager at Uprep/Milliones in the Hill District. She worked to create partnerships with organizations to bring in resources, support, opportunities, and enrichment for students.

    Erica has worked in education for over 16 years. She has worked in the public, private, and charter sectors of education.
